Lucas Belkind grew up in the desert oasis of Phoenix, Arizona with the dream of traveling the world or telling stories through film. He decided to combine the two while forging his own unique path and graduated from the University of Southern California with a BA in Visual Anthropology (Documentary Filmmaking), an emphasis in Film Production, and a minor in theatre. At USC, he entertained millions as he traveled across the United States and the world as a drum line member of the USC "Spirit of Troy" Marching Band, starred in the "Most Creative Film" at the 2004 Ed Wood Film Festival, co-hosted an AM radio show, was a USC liaison for Special Events for Disney, won nearly $10,000 in prizes on "The Price is Right," and produced a $100,000 35mm independent short film.
The adventure continued across the Atlantic at the University of Manchester, England where he earned his Masters in Visual Anthropology and produced a documentary short on the Los Angeles based 18-member 1930's style big band "Vaud and the Villains."
Since returning to Los Angeles in 2010, Lucas has worked primarily in themed and immersive entertainment with Planet C Studios, where he is Head of Post-Editorial and Creative Supervisor, and has produced attractions in Los Angeles, Orlando, Las Vegas, Beijing, and Dubai. Clients include Universal Studios Parks & Resorts (Hollywood, Orlando, and Beijing), Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood, Thinkwell Media, the Hettema Group, and Caesar's Entertainment.
He is also a freelance Renaissance Man who has had the pleasure of developing, writing, producing, directing, filming, editing, creating visual effects, and installing independent feature films, music videos, Late Night segments, BTS / EPK, documentaries, television commercials, digital media, podcasts, reality television, convention live streaming content, and industry trade show media.
His work is always infused with a love and deference for the storytelling process while bringing our creative vision to life.
