Collaboration with Universal Creative on Production, Post-Production, and install of Pre-Show and Main Show media for “Lights, Camera, Action” starring directors Steven Spielberg and Zhang Yimou.
I was Planet C Studios' Creative Supervisor during the live film shoot with Spielberg and Yimou for the attraction's three screen Pre-Show, as well as overseeing Mr. Spielberg's ADR recording session for the attraction's Pre-Show. I was also a BTS videographer and photographer during all live filming and oversaw delivery of BTS assets to Universal Creative as requested.
Filmed on a soundstage with three connecting sets, Spielberg and Yimou guide guests through an alien world, a magic infused forest, and an epic historical battle atop the Great Wall of China. I oversaw the mastering process, integration of visual effects, and captions in both English and Mandarin, as well as final encoding / delivery.
For the Main Show, I was the Post-Production Supervisor and Editor of a special format backplate of a Chinese cityscape projected as the backdrop for a live show in a special effects stage. I maintained show timing between the backplate media and physical special effects that occur in the stage as a super typhoon strikes the boat house our guests find themselves inside.
